Default Custom cam

Can some people give me some specs on a cam i am looking for a big cam that makes tons of power but yet able to drive on the street the car is only a weekend driver so it can be crazy. I have a 383 11:5 to 1 compression motor with a 6 speed. I was hoping to have a custom ground one but jst looking for some ideas on specs.
Thanks

No, they were reccomending one with a little more duration, but im trying to get decent gas mileage. However their reccomended lift numbers were in the .560s/570s, as are mine. But im sure if you call and talk to Ron he will hook you up with what you need. He has been very helpful to me in my engine build process.

ok well 383 on decent gas mileage??? Thats a oximoron if i have ever heard one. J/K Ifyou want good power and good gas mileage try an none aggressive style cam on a wide lobe seperation... You want big power and decent gas mileage.... Well I want a wife , a girlfriend, and a mistress...... Cant have your cake and eat it to but there is middle ground. I would recommend a tight duration like a 231,.590lift 237,.590lift on a 114 or 115 lobe separtion.... has a good wide power band....

What does your cam look like for specs those are some pretty good numbers. I want something crazy i dont care about gas mileage i just want power i cant go above a 600 lift cause my springs wont allow it. I do however want to drive it on the street.

People love to recommend too big a cam and then spread the lobes to tame it but love just as much to forget they are slaughtering the cams ability to actually make a proper power curve. You want a milder cam do like 94greencamaro did and pick a mild cam.

We have been through this on the b-body board and those who went stroker with 23X+ on 114s and got marginal results with it still swear even in the face of 350s with properly speced cams going just as fast that they made the right decision, no amount of documentation will convince them and they resort to milage claims and such. Cam companies do this as a form of idiot proofing. Gearheads want big nasty cams and often want too big a cam, by spreading the lobes they can have the duration for bragging but not badmouth the cam company for the poor drivability, they never knew what power they could have had so they are still happy with their bad decision.
