Default 95 LT1. What wire is the tach lead?

My buddy has a 95 Formula. He caught a glimpse of my Raptor shift light and is about to purchase one. What wire does he tap into for a LT1? It was pin 10 out of my PCM. Do you tap into the PCM or somewhere else for a 95? Thanks for any help.

First off Nice KARR. I have wanted a KITT replica sinceI was little watching Micheal Knight and KITT zoom around on TV.

Well I checked my wiring diagrams and found this for ya. The tach lead of coarse is the white wire, you can tap in one of two places. First you could tap in at the PCM in the Engine compartment or behind the cluster. The first might be easier if you dont want to tear up your dash.

Which pin # is it? I'm assuming the PCM is similar to the LS1. Two different slots, RED and BLUE. Thanks.

Thanks for the compliments also. I grew up watching Knight Rider also, and I always said "One day, I'm gonna have a car like that."

Out of the PCM I believe its the 13th down (not 100% positive) it should be the only white wire coming out of the PCM on a 95 though

On the dash cluster I have no idea which one it is, the wiring diagram doesnt show

If it's the same on the B-cars then we use the A13 pin...

i used the white wire from the coil near the front of the engine. But that was for my digital window switch that reads the rpms.

u got a couple of places... What I find is that the best place to get your tach signal is from the tach filter. Use the white wire that runs between the filter and the instrument cluster, not the white wire that runs between the coil and the filter. this wire should also be found running to the instrument cluster, although I was unable to determine which pin at the instrument cluster.

the wire that comes from the PCM is said to be a lot cleaner in terms of electrical noise and all that mumbo jumbo compared to tapping off the coil wire.
