Default Air Conditioning broken in AZ!

Alright, question about my ac.

Usually when you turn on the ac you can hear the compressor turn on and the engine kind of makes a noise, the air blows and gets cold.

Now with mine, i turn it on and hear nothing, air blows but not cold at all, what could be wrong?

Really hard to say for sure. First I would check the a/c fuse to see if it's blown. Verify the a/c relay is working by checking for 12v at the compressor when the a/c is turned on. If not then have the freon pressure verified by a shop if you don't have a gauge set. It may just be low enough not to allow the low pressure switch let the compressor run. if it is low then you have a slight leak somewhere which can USUALLY be taken care of with some freon mixed with leak sealer. If all that checks out and the compressor still doesn't cycle then you may have a dead compressor clutch.

I just checked all my fuses and they are fine, but what about the relay, how can you check that out and can you buy one from say checker or auto zone?

I think Autozone checks relays. If not switch it with the relay for something that isnt a necessity. I changed mine with the Fog lights relay. Then check the connections on the hi pressure cut out switch. If all that is ok finally check out the A/c compressor clutch electrical connector. If it is out maybe that is your problem. if not then you have other problems. I am having trouble with my A/C right now too. I feel your pain buddy. Im in south texas right now, so its hot and humid, but I doubt as hot as it is in AZ

Where did the old freon go? you've got a leak in your system somewhere, you need take it somewhere and have an A/C service done where they add dye so they can find the leak. Otherwise, you'll wind up having too charge the system again.

Talk to a commercial sales guy at a parts store that has a commercial department, they usually know who is cheap and who does a good job, there is a big difference.
