Default Any demand for an LT1 single turbo kit?

Once done with some other customer builds, we are thinking of producing our Econo single street kit for you LT1 guys. We have one already on a local guys car but are looking for others interested to see how far we want to go with this.
Post up what you'd like, how soon and how many.

an economy kit with good quality would kick ***. Im at the point where producing more power naturally aspirated will cost big $$$ and forced induction is the logical path. I don't care much for nitrous either. I would be VERY interested in a good turbo kit.

I checked out your site. If you were to keep the prices equivalent (or lower, even better!) to your LS1 kits you would make alot of LT1 owners very happy.

where would the downpipe be ran? above the k-member or below it?
do you have any information/pictures/performance results from your other cars?

I know Ive had more questions about LT1 turbo kits in the past trying to figure out how to run one on my car but I just can't remember them

I would be interested, as long as the costs aren't soaring like most tend to be. And must work on a B/D body. Not dedicated to a F body. Careful planning and design will allow the core of the kit to work on multiple chassis.

Eric - no pics yet but can have some this week. The guy just stopped back up today as he has a misfire due to either some bad plugs or wires. His car has the small 60 series turbo with an Intercooler, running 6 psi on a stock motor with 36lb. injectors. The kit will be similar to the LS1 kits on the site, low cost, allows you to buy it in stages - either non-IC or Intercooler. Just as well, I can supply everything for the kit but it will be a little more money.

Ccrhis, slolt, Travis - roger that, i'll see about getting pics up.

Honda Hunter - within reason and with a correct tune, you may still be able to run 5-6psi.

Zigroid - yes, we are going to keep pricing near or at where the LS1 kits are priced. The kit on the local guys car has the DP run ABOVE the k-member with our own special addition to allow this...proprietary stuff.

LALT1, RamAir - roger that.

Bizzzatch350 - read above, already answered.

IIeagle - thanks, I'll keep you up-to-date.

Thanks everyone!

With a good, safe tune and maybe some thicker head gaskets....sure! It's just a matter of correct A/F ratio. However, I would probably jump down in head size, get some bigger CC'ed heads.

Well, remember guys, these kits are base kits and are meant to allow a customer to buy the kits in stages. They do NOT include Turbo(s), Waste gates or Blow-off Valves...if required. They are base kits to get you started in the right direction to FI.

However, if properly put together, turbos can be internally regulated and if you have an automatic car, normally within reason, you don't need to run a BOV on lower boost applications. I've run upward of 26 PSI on a few Buicks (auto) with NO BOV. It's all in HOW you purchase a system and put it together...common sense can dictate a reasonable pricing when you buy just about anything.

Hahaha...yes, I see that now...good Lord !

Another reminder guys, we CAN provide you with a COMPLETE bolt-on system but it will be a little more $. We LOGICALLY put a system together for you to reach your goals without any over spending. As stated above, there are a few ways around getting into FI for a decently below average price.

Please e-mail me: sales@turbo-zone.com if you have any questions or are interested in getting started with a kit. My (edit) PM (end edit) inbox is getting more through-put than the door at Taco Bell !
