Default Need Help On LT1

Hey guys... I'm stumped here... I just finished building my LT1 and its turning over but won't fire... I replaced the battery and also put in a high torque starter... It seems like it's not turning over fast enough to fire... I have been told that possibly it's the timing... But I have no idea how to work that opti spark crap... How do you time an opti spark? Any ideas or suggestions would help alot... Thanks - Grant

well the entire motor is rebuilt, it has a new crank, roller rockers, longtubes, i took out the msd itwoulnt fit with my new intake, but all the stock ignition crap is in right... Honestly my friend is doing all the work, But we're both mustang guys... Well I used to be, so all this LT1 stuff is really foreign for us... I believe the opti is in correct... My friend who i bought it from said he lined the two lines up, but then my boss said that you had to move the opti over a bit... But as i said, I dont know my way around this motor at all... So I'm stumped...

So i guess what I'm trying to ask is... Could it possibly be the opti? Is there more than one way to put it in? And can you time it?

Oh and another person said that could happen if the rockers are tightened too much... But I really don't think thats the case... but if it is, I'm fucked...

I havn't touched the rockers... My friend whom I bought the car built the motor... He said that possibly they could be too tight... We're gonna try ****** with the opti spark tomorrow night... Hopefully that's it... Wish me luck... lol
