You said you replaced the timing chain? did you note the timing marks before you installed it, if not you might have put it in wrong. It might be either advanced or retarded too much

ahhh need more detail... IF no SES light it can be a internal engine problem.... Ticking could be bad if it sounds likes its coming from the motor. Take it to a pro for diagnosis before u F!!! it up more.

Man you should save up then, or just go get an estimate. Have them hook up to it and read if the computer is tripping out. Just from all that I have read in your threads this sounds like it is gettin deep into your pockets. Pull the intake, heads, check for everything to anything go over it with a fine tooth comb.

ok drove it today video will be posted soon, heres an explaination, not that bad of idle really still not great, when u start out it bogs down like it has too much fuel or something, when you get to 3000 rpms its good and runs alright at constant speed, once at like 3400 or higher it sputters and wants to die, backfires alot, so maybe the computer isnt telling the fuel injectors to change amounts and its jsut steady or something???? anyone got an idea had this before/??

What part of Houston are you in ? Can you not run it by the shop and have them give it a listen or even let them drive it ? Call G-Force they are a sponsor on here and from what I hear they are alright guys to deal with. I think by doing that you will save your self ALOT of time and hassle.

Did you buy a new opti or a remanufactured one? Tell us where you bought it. Full opti for cap and rotor? Any oil leak around the waterpump drive seal?

I had a LT1 that was doing something VERY simular. No SES light. Ran like crap at part throttle. Turned out to be 02 sensors. Apparently, LT1's ECM's are very lazy at reporting a problem with 02's. Try that-or just get your A/F's checked.

Dude, once you told us you bought a flat tappet cam for your LT1 you had a bunch of advice to slowly put down your tools and walk quickly away from your car.

Now you have like 60 posts about odd and unknown gremlins in your motor. Who the hell knows what you screwed up?

Take it to a shop and pay somebody that knows something about fixing cars. All you are doing is digging a deeper hole. And you are still trying to drive this thing fucked up! It's gonna make it worse. This is not a Camaro problem, it's a Kyle Problem!

Not trying to be rude, but you have to acknowledge your limitations. If you keep on this course every post on this forum will be a different Kyle issue!

So true so very true !!! And if money is an issue then the thing to do is park it and save money up. But you can call an see how much an it is for them to just look at it. If you don't do something pretty soon you will be posting a thread with CAR DEAD, or MOTOR SWAP.

^ lol. You need to hook up freescan or datamaster. my bet is on the o2's, fuel pump, or opti. Does it smell really rich? If it is your o2's the change the plugs when you change the o2's. You could save a lot of time and headache using freescan or something because that could help you trace it down alot. Good luck.

Flat tappet + LT1= BOOM
O2's are the LEAST of your problem if you are running a flat tappet cam, dude.
