Default boltons???

what in the hell do you guys mean when you talk about a 10 bolton car or a 12 bolton on car. elborate for me i have a very limited knowledge about cars

I think you are referring to the type of rear end that the car has. 10 bolt is the stock rear end and a 12 bolt is aftermarket and much stronger.

To tell, you look at the rear Cover on the Differential and count the bolts. 10-10 bolt, 12-12 bolt.

That is not true.

Its the number of bolts on the ring that attaches it to the differential carrier

I know that, I was telling the shortcut to tell, without pulling the ***-end out of the car. And it has worked on every Chevy that I have torn apart...

thats for sure, if youve got an M6 put that 9" on there, A4 go with a 12 bolt, or grenade the 10 bolt then decide what you wanna do
