Port the intake manifold with stock internals?

Port the intake manifold with stock internals? Is it even worth porting the stock intake manifold when you have stock internals?
I am taking it off because the egr plates are lose, I also want to clean it up and paint it for show. I am just wondering if its worth getting it ported.
Or even porting it myself? anyone have any info on this subject let me know.
