Default optispark

i changed the optispark yesterday cranked it up and drove the car about 5 miles it was running pretty good before the check engine light came on and the car started misfiring i went to the zone to get the codes checked and they said multiple cylinder misfire. does anyone know what the problem might be.i only changed the cap and rotor so im pretty sure i will have to pull it all off again and change the whole thing

Check all the wires first. I had one pop off once.

the cap and rotor wont do anything if the opti is bad. check the wires for corrosion, as well.

If you had 2 wires in the wrong spot, it would run like **** from startup. Check all the connections, even where the coil connects to it.

All the wires should run along side of the block, unless you did something different. That is where I have mine. It might take a little longer to run them in there, but they stay tucked in.
