Default Anybody else have problems with OTVC wires?

The set of MSD cut-to-fit 8.5mm wires I just installed in my 96 WS6 are arching like crazy. Has anyone else had any trouble with the cut to fit wires? I really dont want to buy another set if I am just going to have the same problems. So am I better off just going with the pre-made wires in stock locations?? OTVC is much better for not burning wires, but like I said if this is a recurring problem I dont want to mess with it.

I had some Elite plug wires and they arced like mad when they got wet. The MSD are the same length in the same place and no arcing.

I have the same wires and no problems period. Did you maybe damage the silicone insulation when measuring, cutting or installing?
Where are they arcing, throught the boods or silicone?

Make sue your plug gaps are correct, too big a gap will promote arcing.

I am runing the taylor otvc 8mm wires, went through 2 sets because of my stupid long tubes but now they are good. The first set I put on arched like crazy because me and my friends hadnt put the opti boots on well enough so go back and check that.

Iv got the same wires as you and mine are perfectly fine... ran ovc also... you may have gotten a bad/old set of wires if they are arching between each other... get your money back and buy some new ones from summit... p/n 32129
