hey guys, i want to know what is the bigst c.i for lt1 eng so do you know where can i find dart heads for lt1 ( which company )

i read a article in a magizine about a 454 small block. dont think it would like the street much. possible a slight overheating problem. hey you could run it on alcohol!!!!

I am doing 2 408 inch LT1s right now and they work pretty well.

I don't think DART makes anything for the LT1. TFS has some nice LT1 heads that you can actually get fairly easily and they are decent castings for porting as well. You can "make" LT1 heads out of regular castings as well but I prefer to use ones setup from the get go with all their heat treat still in them.

I think the biggest you can go on an LTX block is around 408-409 cubic inches..

408ci the biggest ,if you want more go with 454 and bigger but you should go with tube..

There used to be a vette in Houston that supposedly had a 421ci LT1 in it. Of course the guy also owned a shop that was known for its scams.

Yeah, also there is almost no room for a piston any more at that stroke length and block size. There may be technology soon to allow a little more stroke but it's not here yet.
