It all depends on what you're planning for the future. It's better to go higher torque capacity than lower. And "lightly modded" is a relative term, give more details.

its got a k&n cai and a cat back exhaust. the only near future mods would be headers, y-pipe, and possibly a short shifter. also, this is my daily driver. will i lose longevity with a clutch with more torque capacity?

I have the same question but for a 95 (doesnt change things though)... I like the price of the SPEC Stage 1 and the RAM HDX clutches, but Ive heard some (err... too many) bad comments regarding RAM's customer service lately.

Alright, I didnt see any packages so Im assuming you buy the "Street Clutch Disk" and Pressure Plate to make it a "package". Price doesnt seem bad, gonna see if I can find some reviews.

Yeah it just depends on what clutch disc you want. Its supposed to be a pretty good clutch for up to 400hp or so. Im fairly happy with my street twin

I used a spec stage 1 on my car for 30,000 miles before the LT4 Hotcam. And 12,000 miles after the cam and had no problems. I had full bolt-ons before the cam and made 274 RWHP & 302 RWTQ.

Did you notice any difference from the stock clutch, if I may ask?
