dyno results too low???
I had my 94 Z28 dynoed the other day after I added:
- magnaflow catback
- edelbrock shorty headers
- k&n cai
- tb bypass
- 52mm tb
- hypertech pp
It made 255 rwhp. It's an A4 so I know there's going to be more driveline loss but I expected more. What numbers are you guys with similar mods making?

So basically you got intake and exhaust. The hypertech and the throttle body bypass aren't really gonna effect your dyno that much the only mods that are gonna show a decent gain are gonna be your cai and exhaust. The numbers aren't too bad maybe slightly lower than what they should be. If you even consider 16% drive loss that puts you at 303 hp at the crank. That isnt too bad considering the 95 and lower were rated at 275 from the factory. When is the last time a good tune was performed? Maybe some new plugs, wires, oil, and etc. might give the z some good help.

Forgot to mention a full tune up was also done. New plugs, wires, etc.
I estimate that stock it should make around 230, so +25? (exhaust) + 10? (intake) + 5? = ~ 270?
Oh yeah, the guys at the speed shop said the computer would retrain itself and power would go up a bit. Is this true?

If I was you I would find out if the Hypertech is causing you knock. Basiclly it's worthless from what Ive read. I wouldnt be surprise if it's the reason your numbers are low. Get a real tune from a vendor and start adding some serious mods. Youre really not that far off. We dont even know if theyre corrected or not.

255 sounds about right. Maybe even a little high.
Intake and exhaust isn't going to add 35hp . Probably more like 10. If your lucky, 15.
