Default Damn Fuel Lines!!!

So i'm changing the fuel pump on my z via cutting an access panel in the trunk, everything goes smooth until I go to hook up the external lines again, the two with the snap fittings won't even attempt to go together, I line them up and push and they will not connect, am I missing something? are there any options to make them work?

I did it the same way, they are a pain, keep working at it. I got them in the second try, lined right up.

Yea just keep trying, mine decided to work after a couple tries for whatever reason... And trap door is a great idea too couldn't have made the job any easier IMO. Good luck!
