If I got this straight I can put longtubes on my car w/ an off road y pipe and have the pcm tuned so it will pass emissions still? Its a 96 car so I belive they only hook it up the pcm or do they put the sniffer on too? I need real experience from guys who have gotten tested in IL w/ an obd2 car. Is it just PCM?

yeah thats right, all the do is check if it has any codes, no sniffer test.

Yup, I've been through it several times with both cars. They just hook up to the OBD2 connector, check for codes, and no sniffer test. Oh, they test your gas cap for leaks too.

if the lights off your all good no sniffer on 96 and newer
