Default power steering probs? plz advise!

Just had the pump replaced because my friend broke it while doing donuts. I noticed the steering wasnt there so I checked my fluid which was kind of low. I then overfilled it which I know wasnt good. So I stuck and straw in there to take some out.(No I didn't drink it out)Basically the car has to be at 1500+RPMS to function. The pump makes a loud whiny noise when I try to turn it. There is NO leaks I have observed...What is going on??

Air in the system possibly? Did you buy the pump new? Maybe its a faulty pump? Oh and BTW I wouldnt let your friend drive your car anymore.

Yes the system was bleeded good and the pump was brand new. How would air get in the system? (I've heard of it before.)
Yeah screw my friend..

Before suggesting its a bad pump, flush the system... if you did not flush the system, you still have all the burnt up fluid in it... you need to get rid of all of it and refill the system with brand new fluid (conditioning fluid if you got it)... then bleed the system... if the pump still whines, its a blown pump... i am on my 3rd pump... this time however, i installed a power steering cooler in front of the radiator... the steering is very responsive, and i am without problems...
