Default Thinking of swapping M6 in for the A4

What all would it intale to switch my transmissions out? I really want a 6 spd. and it is looking like I need to rebuild my tranny so I was thinking what better time to swap. Do you all have any links to places that would have more info or has anyone else on here done it? Any help/ input would be appreciated.

its not hard just time consuming... there is alot of work to be done, but i think the hardest part of the whole thing was cutting the hole for the pedals and getting them to line up.. alot of people on this site are selling 6 speed conversion kits... you just have to look...

one thing... i know tennessee auto sells kits, but i have heard good and bad things about them... i have heard of people buying rebuilt trannys from them and come to find out they never even dissasymbled it... but i have not had any personall experiance with them... but i have heard this more than once...
i will see if i can find that write up on it for you... i did it to mine, and i think its the best mod i ever did... total of 2 full days work if you have a lift and air tools to do the job..

I am in the same boat as you. Im collecting parts for the swap. All I need now is crossmember, pedals, and hydraulics. Good luck!
