Default Will I benefit from a 2 1/2 y pipe with high flow cats?

I have SLP shortie headers with the stock catted y pipe on my 97. I can't use long tubes because it won't pass inspection. My engine was recently rebuilt with a mild cam and home ported heads. Will their be a noticeable difference with a new y pipe and high flow cats 10-15 hp?

i would think high-flow cats would help, especially with a cam, whether it's mild or not. can anyone confirm this?

i'd say somewhere around there along with a free-flowing catback, as well.
