Default HELP... People with Rear QA1 shocks inside!!!

Ok, finally got around to putting these into my car, install was pretty easy, followed injuneer's install very well except for the part of being able to put a wrench on the top of the QA1's from underneath the car to really tighten the nut on the inside of the car since i didnt pull the whole rearend out.

Anyways, I take it out for a spin afterwards and had the shocks set to 5 clicks (like Injuneers directions said to start) and now on the smoothest of roads, the car feels like it is bouncing in the back... is setting 5 too soft or too firm? The only other suspension I have is Lakewood LCA's

Anybody have input on this? Or want to let me know what their shocks are set to? The ride is not all that comfortable when it is constantly bouncing like this... any help is greatly appreciated!!!

thanks guys... yeah, somebody on camaroz28.com said that he had the same affect, and just set them to 1 and it is a lot better... Ill have to just play around with it. I didnt know if it needed to be firmer or softer.

Actually another question, this may be a dumb one, but can you adjust them with the full load of the car on them or do you have to jack up the car? I would imagine that you can just get under the car and just turn the dial w/o having to jack it up and get the load off of the rearend.

It went away, but what is the point of the other settings if that is how it is going to ride? Are the higher settings mainly for track use?

Ok, im kinda concerned... I never fully dropped the rear end out when doing this install... is that necessary to get these shocks fully bolted up? My car looks like it is sitting lower than with the stock shocks. I was never able to access that nut on the top of the QA1 shocks from underneath the car because I never dropped the rearend out. Im wondering if the top nuts are not fully tightened because of this... help! Do I need to go redo this job?

Did you use the spanner wrenches to adjust ride height?

What spanner wrenches? Is that something that is supposed to come with the rear shocks? If so, I never got them... nor do I know how to adjust that. I followed a writeup that I found on camaroz28.com and it never mentioned adjusting for the ride height. I have the single adjustable rear QA1 shocks.

You are just running an adjustable bolt in shock right? Unless you bought the coilovers for the rear you shouldn't have any problems with the ride hieght.

yes... just the adjustable bolt in shock... that is what i thought, i didnt think that there would be any problem with ride height.

Now my other concern is that since i didnt drop the whole rearend out to install these, I am a little concerned that the top mounting nut is not completely as tight as possible, since i wasnt able to access the hex nut on the top of the shock shaft from under the car to grip the shock and hold it still while tightening the top. Is this necessary, or is it still pretty secure? I'd hate to have to do this all over again.
