Default Gears need tune?

Gonna have gears within a month or so. I dont really want to tune yet seeing that I have alot more I want to add before that. Will my car run like hell without tuning for the new rear gears? It is an auto, with factory 2.73s. What are my options?

It will still run fine because you are not making mods to the engine...Youre speedo wont be right...but it will work fine...Just account for that when you are running up to the speedo...dont get no tickets...lol

anyone near you with tunercats can fix it in about 10 minutes. your speedo will be off, it may affect your shift points since the pcm uses your speed to know when to shift. when I went from 2.73's to 3.42's in my 94 the shift points were alittle funny, not bad though

Main thing is shift points and speedo. Shift points will be different for the new gears, it may not be too bad unless you're doing like 4.10s.

Yea....about the 4.10s Thats probably whats going in. So its going from 2.73's to 4.10's ... I just wanna make sure I wont hurt anything. I can learn to live with shiftpoints and stuff until I can tune it. By different points u mean?? Over-Rev? Under-Rev?
