I hate saying bad things but for my old 95 Formula I had the Hypertec Power Programmer for it and the only thing it did good was correct my speedometer after my 3.73's were installed and my fans kicked on sooner. For my ex's 97 Z28 she still has it we hit the same times with it "power tuning" the car as it did when it was "untuned" and I still think it is worthless and it is!
Lets see...for my 88 Firebird my thermomaster chip costed me $118 back then and it didn't really help I was .04 faster at the track with it. I haven't tried it on my Iroc yet and won't. If I was a lot smarter I would buy the moates stuff and burn my own stuff because l need a chip for my Iroc BAD but since I am not I will just use PCMsfor less or Ed Wright. Problem with that is I want a dyno tune for my TPI and LS1 and Ed is farrrrrrrrr. I also heard great things about Superchips but I am not so sure since I have never seen dyno sheets or such. Good luck

PCM for less tuned my camaro and it is all screwed up i wouldnt send the computer there, ive sent it back 3 times now and it actually runs about 1/2 a second slower with their tune and a tire, i'll definatly be getting it dyno tuned within a couple of weeks

Hypertechs are crap, but I bought one because I got it used cheaper than a tune, and all I really needed was to correct my speedometer, raise the speed limiter(110 from the factory) and lower fan temps. So for the price I paid for it, it was worth it to me. I would never pay full price for one though. You could get a GREAT tune for much cheaper than the hypertech or other handheld programmers will run you new.
