Default Custom grind cam or no?

Ok fellas... bear with me here...........

Whats the benefit of getting a custom grind cam rather than just your
normal cam out there... like a hot cam, gm847, cc306 ...etc...

Whats the pros / cons of a custom grind?

the best for custom grind cams is to get the heads done by the same people or someone they recommend... that makes for the best H/C combo...
Advanced Inductions
Joe O and Eric
Lloyd Elliot
all of those are good ones....

With a custom cam, they'll be able to design a cam to maximize your entire setup. For instance, I wanted a cam that would be mean on the street and awesome at the track, but still drivable and wouldn't be too hard on the valvetrain. I also wanted to stick with stock injectors. The CC305 was a little smaller than I wanted, and the 306 was a little too big for my stock heads, but I wanted room to grow when I get headwork. I picked up a 226/231 from cam motion with a lot more lift than the 305 had. I could have gone bigger, but got this one at a great deal. You can go with an off the shelf cam and you'll be very happy, but a custom cam will maximize your setup and give you more what you're looking for. Call up Futral Motorsports and they'll hook you up. Just my .02.
