Default developing an LT1 intake

I know some people with cnc machines that charge $25 an hour to mill stuff. Do think it'd be retarded for me to try to develop a one off LT1 intake. I know some of you guys are awesome with 3d programs and photoshop, so I'd like to hear your idea on what might work best. I was thinking an LS1 style with and air gap thats fits lt1 ports? I'll have the runners bolt to the plenum like the accel intake so i can make it in smaller peices. Any ideas or especially images are welcome!

Wouldnt be retarded at all. What you learn from it weather youre able to make one or not or weather it's worth while or not could benifit us all alot. I like luckys photoshop And Eldelbrock hasnt put out anything yet.
