lack of power?

lack of power? hey guys my car recently was running like hell it was surging,and missing and popping. i found out it was the wires two were burnt from the headers and one was cut from the belt and also one plug was half way out, so i fixed that and the car stoped having those problems.but it has a serious lack of power now and has a very strong gas smell from the engine bay and the exhaust.what could be causing the lack of power, o and also its not thowing any codes.

if it has a gas smell it could be way too rich, although I'm not sure why the engine bay would smell like that. maybe you have an exhaust leak.

You would be surprised how much power is lost when youre running to rich. I was reffering to something that could datalog and show your o2 milivolts etc.
