Default Motive 3.90 Gears for 7.5

For an M6 should I go 3.90 or 4.10?

I'd go 4.11's. They're stronger than 4.10's. I just broke my 4.10's (in my camaro not in sig) on the street.

4.11 is a Ford ratio. I'm pretty sure there is no 4.11 ratio for GM rears. Yeah a 4.11 ratio in a Ford set is naturally gonna be stronger than 4.10's in a GM 7.5" 10 bolt.

There are 4.11's for 7.5 10 bolts.........they have 37 ring teeth and 9 pinion teeth.

Well that's certainly a new one on me. I've never seen that one.

Ahh, looked on Motive Gear's website and there is no 4.11 ratio listed for any GM car. I was pretty sure there was no such thing as a 4.11 for a 7.5" 10 bolt. Richmond Gear lists no 4.11 either.

37/9 comes out to 4.11111111111111111111111 infinite. 41/10 is 4.1. Point is, I don't think they have 4.10 and 4.11 ratio for the same rear.

So, if there is 37 ring teeth and 9 pinion teeth you're saying it's NOT 4.11's???

No what I'm saying is their catalog does not have 4.11 listed as a GM ratio. Also, you're saying they had 4.10s and 4.11s for the same rear when the catalog listed only one (the 4.10s).

I just had the Motive 3.90 gears installed in my car last weekend. Its a nice compromise between the 3.73 and 4.10. No noise to speak of and the car drives very nicely now in 6th gear.

My previous best with 3.42s on street tires was 12.73 @ 112. I'm shooting for 12.4s with the gears + BFG drag radials.
