well you said you already have TTS DataMaster.. you will need that and
TunerCats program with the DA3 definition file..
then you will need a chip burner. i would recommend the Burn1 from Moates.net
best on the market, and get a couple of reburnable chips for it and the prom adapter for it as well... here i will get some links for ya...

here is the Tuning software you will need:
http://tunercat.com/tnr_desc/do_tc.html

Burn1 chip burner: you dont really need the RT burner yet...
http://www.moates.net/chip-programmers-c-51.html

chips for your burner and car.. i would get at least 2: very top one...
http://www.moates.net/chips-and-sockets-c-26.html

adapters.. the very top one is for to plug into your stock memcal in the PCM and the bottom one you need to read your stock memcal tune.. to get you started:
http://www.moates.net/adapters-and-c...s-c-25_36.html

and a cable.. i recommend this one: talk to andrew he will hook u up...
http://www.akmcables.com/

and of course you will need a laptop to do your tuning and datalogging.. it needs to be reletivly fast.. im using the USB cable with the software to make datamaster think its running through COMPORT 4...
i think thats everything but i will keep thinking...

Cool. Exactly the info I was looking for. I still have a laptop and tc's for my 94 but I see I'm going to have to start from scratch and buy everything again.

Since you already have tunercat....all you need to buy is the DA3 definition file which is cheap. And like above stated get that burner, chips, and adapters. He covered it really well.

the RT burner is not really neccessary... you can make your changes according, just by removing the chip and reburning it.. for the price of the RT, i dont its a must have.... but it is alittle easier not having to pull the PCM out everytime you want to reburn...if you want to spend the money then by all means go for it... but the Burn1 will be just fine.... the great advantage to the RT is the laptop stays with you and you click burn, and the tune automatically goes in.... but its pricey....
all depends on your needs and mostly budget...
i would learn the programs really well before i would think i would even need on... plus i know a while back people were having problems with them popping circuits... dont know if it was ever corrected or not...

Ive heard nothing but good things about here. Ive heard he can do wonders. My only issues are I hear he locks his tunes, and the price. I'm also talking with PCMforLess and Jeremy Formato to see what they can do.

Thanks again for the great info but I need you to dumb it down for me a little more. I'm looking to be able to program and upload tunes without having to remove anything. I want to be able to plug in hit enter and be done. Also how much do you know about the pocket burners and how are they? Thanks again

the pocket programmer 2, are just as good, but you are going to have to pull the PCM each time you reburn or want to change something. its really not that hard to do, 2 10mm bolts that hold the PCM down, 2 10mm nuts that hold the bracket, and 4 1/4in bolts that hold the cover down and there is the memcal. it takes like 5 minutes to have it out. actually less..
but if you want you can spend the big bucks and get the RT burner, thats the one that you plug into and just hit enter. its just alittle on the pricey side thats all...

I have the autoprom from moates. It's a nice piece of equipment and Craigs customer service is awesome. If you use the Tunerpro RT software you can emulate and datalog at the same time. If you use Tunercat then you cannot datalog simultaneously. I also have datamaster which I downloaded from the net. Look for my PM for free dodwnload with unlimited recordings. You can tune the car while driving without any hiccups or anything, it's nice for $350. I spent $350 bucks to get a chip from Ed Wright for my first cam, ZZ3. So to me it was worth the money spent. I will have this car a long time, so being able to tune for infinite mods is a plus. Ed Wrights tune was good, went 8.7 at 87 with a 2.3 60 ft. with the ZZ3 in the 1/8. I just wanted to tune myself for future mods. I would highly recommend the autoprom. Oh yeah I initially bought the burn1, but got tired of swapping chips. I have it if interested.
