Question timing cover

is there any way to put the timing cover on with out dropping the oil pan

you can loosen the pan and pry the front down and put the timing cover in without totally dropping the pan

Its a bitch to do, but it can be done.... taking it off would be the hard part if its already on... when we took mine off we ripped the 1 piece oil pan gasket... was able to fix it with lots of RTV and it never let go... but I wouldn't suggest that option really.
