Default Why is my BRAKE light on?

I added a little bit more brake fluid, if this matters.

Red. The braking isn't as sensitive as it was before. The ABS INOP would come on intermittently before, but the braking stayed the same. As mentioned, it's not as sensitive now. It doesn't really start to brake until I have the pedal close to the floor. Also, I think there MIGHT be a small brake fluid leak from one of the rear calipers, but the fluid in the reservoir wasn't THAT low. How do I figure out what's wrong?

At a certain point, when you need to press the pedal down farther then it's normal throw, the proportioning valve will see it and set the light. Thats what it sounds like by your description. Fix the leak, make sure that pads are good on all 4 corners, and the bleed the brakes. When teh pedal returned to normal height, the light will not set.
