Angry finally got my dyno numbers (dissapointed)

well we had a dyno day on saturday, and i finally got a chance to run my car. the best run i had was 224 hp and 269 tq. i guess that is not to bad considering it has 100K miles on it, and all i have done to it is a muffler. But next week i am going to do a complete engine cleaning (inside and out) and see if that will help any. BTW i am going to be buying a cam, and i am wondering how i can tune my car when i get it in. Any ideas will be appreciated.

Was this on a dynojet or a Mustang dyno?

It is a M6, it was on a mustang dyno. Does that make a difference?

also they had my weight on it as 3875, i dont know if that is accurate or not, but they were telling me that the weight is included in the figures, maybe that could have made it lower?

Mustang dynos typically dyno a bit lower than dynojets do. Those numbers are pretty low anyway though. My advice would be to run the car at your local track. Track numbers don't lie... dynos sometimes do.

definitely is, get out when you can, and let us know if your numbers at the track are low as well and we'll go from there.

Figure a dyno jet would show aprox 240's-250's which is pretty common for these cars. Although you being a M6 224 seems a little low more in line with a A4 car, but run it at the track see what it does it may suprise you....
