whos got a elec. water pump
so the local guys i hang out with are all about "street cars". So the one guy did some work on my water pump for me and the other guy asked WHY! i was runnin a elec. water pump. "is it a race car!?" "you plan on driving it on the street?!" How many of you guys are runnin a elec. water pump everyday or on the street for driving? He made it sound like i was gonna burn it out if its on for a long time.

The lives of those are fine. They have a 2500 hour life expectancy. That's pretty damn good if you ask me.

It's perfectly fine. Besides, it's a hell of a lot easier to replace the electric pump then it is the whole housing. Not to mention it will never leak onto the opti like the stock pump. They last for a very good amount of time, no worries.

It's not CSI anymore, it's CSR. Personally I like the CSR. The machined O-ring grove was a nice touch, they have a very good impeller design, plus they are cheaper then Mez.

yea, its CSR... but im still use to CSI and mine say CSI... so thats why it just hasnt stuck yet.... and notching the WP is very easy... the thing about the MEZ is that if it needs to be changed out i would think you would have to take the fan shroud off to do so... with the CSR you can still get to it.. just remove the bolts and out it comes...

Key on is really all you need. I started making relay systems that had a manual switch, but honestly you don't need the switch. If I need to cool down in a hurry I just throw my fan switch on high and turn the key on to let the pump run. Within 30-60 seconds it's dropped about all it will need to. I did sell one with a manual switch before I changed my mind, but it was a bit more of a hassle then it needed to be and drive the price up a good amount. It also made the install a little bit longer and limited the operation of teh warning LED's
Long story short, you really don't need a switch.

Alot of people are for or against EW's. I understand were both sides are coming from but I hate when someone says the EW isnt sfe and wont last long. That's retarded. If you monitor your car like you should, that wouldnt be a issue.

Mine runs a wee bit hotter at cruise. I guess because it runs at a constant speed regardless of engine rpm, BUT way cooler in traffic and slower speeds...I also did before and after same day dyno testing and got 9-10 rwhp across the entire rpm range by going to an EWP (Meziere)...I ran mine with the Painless wiring relay kit and its been fine for almost a year...
