Default Dyno Numbers

Just got the Car together and Dynoed. It put out 318hp, and 320tq at the rear wheels. It's about 410hp, 410tq off the Engine. Not bad for a few boltons..

I haven't ran the 1/4, but on the 1/8 it was runnin 8.3's to 8.5's. Fastest was an 8.15 with a 2.1 60ft. It couldn't hook. I'll hit up the 1/4 sometime soon.

wow... 8.1 with a 2.1 60ft. that is nice. if you could drop that down to a 1.9 you would be around a 7.8. that should be good for mid to low 12's.

Yea, it was not hookin off the line. It was the fastest car there with street tires though. It needs some slicks, then I will be good. It beat the *** out of some honda sprayin Nos, and a supercharged LS1 6spd. He was having problems shifting, that is why I like the auto..

are you sure thats accurate for flywheel HP? Given both, your in the area of 22% drive line loss. Seems a little bit high.

I did it with 22.5% drivetrain loss factor. It's still over 400hp, I am happy..

Is that your actual calculated drive line loss or just a guess? I would personally have guessed a little lower then that.

Where did you get 22.5% from? Because Drive train loss is more like 12-15% for Manuals and 15-18% for Automatics. So if you put 318 to the wheels than your pushing around 375 horses at the Fly wheel using 18% loss.

Exactly.

I know thats not what you want to hear, considering that it means your not near 410 engine HP, but it's more realistic.

If that was true and you honestly believed it, you would never have even gotten any dyno numbers. Just take it as it is, it's good information to have. It will allow you to get some real number estimates.

wow...nice #s look at all my mods and that was only good for 309 after the tune. so many things i can blame the shitty numbers on...small cam, shorty's, and need a rebuilt trans...i'm feeling sick thinking of how i have fully ported and polished heads and intake and you make more hp than me...congrats though.

Don't blame shortie Headers! We have made over 420RWHP with Shortie headers and a fairly small cam

A bad transmission could cost you more then any of the things there

A couple of the guys at that shop were very suprised that it put them numbers down. Then they asked what else was done to it, and the gears I had. I said 3.73's. They were like it must fly.
I was like it goes..lol

im at 325rwhp and 341 rwtrq right now with my cam only car. Best so far is 12.5's at 110mph.

Cant wait to get heads and slicks and skinnies. That time was ran in this houston heat along with 315's and 275's up front.
