A shop is putting together a 383 VRE shortblock with LE ported Trickflow heads and an LE2 cam. The question has already been posed to me by the shop owner, "what lifters will I use for this setup?" I know everyone will say go with Morel, but with that price tag, I'm looking for more reasonable alternatives. I see that people with LE3 stock ported heads are using OEM lifters. Is it safe enough for me to use the OEM lifters as well?

LOL, awww man I feel like my dad just scolded me. That's embarrassing. I figure different folks frequent different boards so... Thanks for the response on the other board btw.

you can use OEM's I got some comp cams lifter, but some people have been having problems with them. I have had no problems

just DONT GET COMP "R"s I was the only one that did not have any issues with these. UNtil yesterday when one of my lifters collapsed from 1500 miles.

Running OEM's from Comp on my LE2.1HL setup.
No problems so far.
