Default HPE 396 stroker?..

Hey does anyone know how much h/p the 396 stroker from Horsepower engineering is rated to?.. Thank you..

I sent you a PM Lt1dude. We have many LTx options and engines including a 408 as well. Chuck is about to redo his website soon with more info. The amount of power the 396 can take is very large though as we did a few that were maikng over 1000 RWHP. Big Rick went low 8s in his car still with the LT1 so it can put still handle some power.

is ricks car using a opti or did you guys fab or have a custom ignition fabbed for it

Yes he was using a crank trigger and MSD ignition with a regular distibutor.

if your interestedin a 396 i have a very nice one for sale. you will get a much better bang for your buck than going with a HPE motor.
