Default **which 58mm Throttle Body??**

i have a new engine on the way and the intake on it is ported to 58mm. there for i need a 58mm throttle body and i was wanting yalls opinions on either the Holley or the BBK 58mm throttle body, the BBK seems to be a bit cheaper. any other brands are ok for opinions also. i guess i will also be selling my ported stock throttle body 52mm with air foil , pm me if interested. thanks in advance!

Check out Summit's new 58mm. It's only $260. I wouldn't think twice about buying it! I wish it were available 4 years ago!

BBK is crap. I have one. Two thumbs way down.

The Holley is nice. TByrne has a good price on them.

do a search, i've asked the question before and included a poll.

I went with the holly because of the looks, everything is ok.

I have no functional issues with the BBK, but it looks like crap. Rough sand cast. Even when brand new it was ugly. The air foil area was missing a large chunk (had an air bubble in the casting). Now that I've had it (since 2001 ), it's even uglier. They Holley is a much nicer looking unit.

edelbrock just started making one and im sure if you wanted to go for the bling factor they offer the endura shine chrome like finish on them for a price. they run about the same as the bbk i think so you might want to look into that.

Holley, summit and edelbrock all make great ones, I personally use the edelbrock.

AS&M is going to be your nicest and highest quality piece, but they cost a little bit more.

Mine came loose at the two piece area the throttle cable wraps around. This threw of the TPS sensor and toasted 3 transmissions before my friend noticed it was slipping. Had to braze the two piece assembly together and it works fine now. I wonder if BBK will pay my rebuilding cost due to their inept engineers.
