Default a/c recharged..

got it done...by a local shop my bro works for so they charged 20 bux...problem is my bro came home with the car and said the pressure was too high on the high side..it was almost 400 when they brought rpm up...how bad is this? he said the low said was good but he thinks it was high also 70ish....will it tear anything up?the a/c blew pretty cold...i wish i could just leave it like that
he told me its either the condensor clogged or the accumulator...which one is it normally? can it be anything else?
and how do i clean them? or do i have to get a new one, i have one of each sitting outside in my backyard but supposively the accumulator is trashed by now..(outside moisture)
we went to suck it out today and tomorrow hopefully i can figure it out...
im blind when it comes to this...

It's not a blockage. It's overcharged or there is moisture in the system.

My advice would be to have the system recovered, change the drier, have it evacuated and then charged by correct weight.

its never good to have the pressure to high like u said. i would drain it out and clean everything up. i think they sell freon that cleans out the trash in you a/c at like kmart so i would check into that or you could take the whole thing apart and clean it your self.

well we added the correct amount 2.0 pounds...there was no moisture because we put a vacume on it...now we have added new freon into it the pressure was to ohigh so we vaced it out, should we just try it again and hope the moisture came out when we took the freon out yesterday?
what do i need to clean and how do i do it? compresed air?

you only have to flush when there is debris, usually caused by compressor failure. a blockage will not present itself as high low and high side pressures. You can rule out blockage.

It's still going to be either overcharge or moisture like I said, even if it was correctly vacuumed, the drier can be saturated. The only other reason for high pressure would be inadequate air flow through the condenser.

ok if it helps...i had it charged and on the way home a line hit the a/c pulley and blew out...i left it over night and fixed it the next morning so could mositure have gotten in it over night and clogged the accumulator? they are stuck on that being my problem...and they said it was almost 120 degrees with the a/c on full

It's doesn't clog it, it saturates it.

As I said, it's not a blockage, but your best bet it to pull it out, change the drier and evac the system before charging by weight.
