Default Lt1 Transmision options

Hey guys Ive never owend an lt1 car only ls1's. My buddy just bought one yesterday, We were woundering what Automatics come in them? His is a 94, I know ls1s are the 4l60e, Im guessing the lt1 is an 700r4?

Lt1 is 4l60e.

except 93 that are 4l60 only that year tho ya LT1s and LS1s are 4l60e i think 04 gtos are to.

Yup he has a 4l60e. 93's had the 700r4.

94 is a one year only as far as wiring also.

Most of the newer LSX cars are 4L80E. The LT1 is a 4L60E, except for 1993, that is a 4L60.

The 1993 LT1 F-cars had the 4L60 Trans. The 1994-1997 LT1 F-cars had the 4L60E. 1998 as far as I know are 4L80E Trans.

The 4l80e has not came in any GM passenger cars. 4l60e 94 up. 05 Gto may have the 4l65e but not sure and its just different internals.

I thought it was changed to the 80. What did that come in?
