Cam Question
I have a 383 with a mild 219 219 camshaft stock heads with 2.0 1.5 valves. Would a 236 242 549 solid roller lift camshaft work without dish pistons? i have flattop pistons make i think around 10.8 to 11 to 1 compression? I dont know if there is a way to figure this without installing all of it and checking clearance? Help me PLEASE

Thjat lift is nowhere near worth worrying about and really it is cam timing that causes problems on engine affect by such thing, the LT1 not being one under vaguely normal circumstances. Why go solid roller and so small and by stock I hope you mean GM castings because if all the work that was done was just putting the bigger valves in then heads are the first thing you need to worry about.

This setup was 100% streetlegal/budget at the same time. Now i passed emissions and i will not have to go through anymore, i want to switch to a diffrent camshaft but dont have the money for the heads right now. i have the camshaft, and lifters and stuff already laying around from a project that never happen so... but also it will have a Vic jr ontop of it now with a www.intakeelbows.com elbow and a 58mm tb that i already have. i think im ganan feel sorry for these heads they were ported and polished with a valve upgrade but .. we will see how there lt1 casting heads do !
