Default V6 swap to LT1 or LS1????

Hey just wanted to ask if the camaro v6 is the same as the v8 other then the motor. I was offerd my uncle's v6 camaro for free and wanted to know if i can swap the v6 for a LT1 or even LS1, iam a noob sry, or i might just use it as my daily gas saving driver,lol

if youre getting it for free, then id just leave it like it is and save for an LT1 or even LS1 car.. just my 2 pennys

take it and save the money. my buddy has a v6 camaro and its not that bad i would take it.

good idea, thanks i can use it as a daily driver but i found a overturned camaro in a junkyard and the owner wants 500$ for its a 97'camaro Z28 just thought i could buy it and yank that lt1 out but but your right ill just save for a LS1, i allready have a 97' T/A. iam just getting greedy.

I would never upgrade an LT1 to an LS1, when you can buy a brand new LS2 for 5 Grand shipped to your door, with a 3 Year Warranty.

And since you would need to revamp the entire car to hold the 365ci 400Hp engine, (tranny,entire suspension, rear, and many other things), I would start beefing up the LT1.

As far as the V-6 is concerned, it sounds like a good candidate for a Daily Driver.

y would it not make you wannna mess with me? i never ask you to so such a thing just trying to be mindful and learn more stuff with what i got, like my father allways say's you learn from experience and that's what iam trying to achive, CONFUSING

well i guess ill just use it as a daily driver then iam tired of all these gay *** gas price's we pay to much man something needs to be done

If the v6 is free, and the 97 z28 is $500, buy them both and rebuild the z28 with parts from the v6 and the engine of the z28

Drive the V6 as a beater or sell it to buy a V8 camaro. Swaping in an LT1 would require a lot of time and you are almost certain to run into even a few bumps, but it could be done. If you got everything that you would need (time, space, and tools) and put your mind to it with a Hanes or chiltons manual you could get it done in a few weekends with two guys.

nah i'll just forget it i allready have a LT1 working good just wanted to know if it was possible it sounded like something fun to do to learn more XP but its all cool ill just use it to get from work to home.thanks guys.
