ADperformance lt1 383 rebuild
Just seeing if anyone has used or has any feedback on the adperformace forged 383 rebuilt kit($around 1000) for the lt1. Im thinking of doing it for my turbo lt1 and just seeing if its a good choice or if theres something better out there for the price?

The two kits posted are quite different and neither is really what I'd recommend for a turbo kit, if it were me.
The first kit is an entry level Eagle kit. Cast crank, 5140 I-beam rod, 12cc hypereutectic pistons. For a mild appplication, ~500hp, the kit might work but it really isn't intended for a turbo application. At a minimum I would recommend a forged piston if you're going through the rebuild anyway.
The second kit listed is Scat product and a 4340 forged crank and 4340 forged rods with ARP capscrews (Scat's rod is a better rod than Eagle's I-beam, IMO.) While this kit is definitely more geared towards the turbo application the pistons aren't correct - they're Flat tops (too much compression) and they're hypereutectics, which I'd upgrade to a forged piston. Same kit with a forged dish piston would work well with a turbo application.
Hope that clarifies things.
