Default LT1 Guys Serious Problem HELP

GOt a 94 z28 that ran fine.I was taking the hub and balancer off to put front main seal in it.Bolt in the crank stripped out.So i took it to a shop thats very trusted. He gets the bolt out and hub off and is trying to figure out why the crank has a key and the hub has no keyway. So he make a keyway of some sorts into the hub and put it back on and all.Well i got the optispark and intake and all that good stuff on today and go to fire it.Sounds like the timing is way off. What in the hell could it be? I need to finish this car because I have a buyer waiting.
thanks
dave

There are marks to let you know where to set/time the opti spark.
I helped my buddy put in his, but we had a LT4/LT1 Mechanic's Guide to steer us through.
Wouldn't have got far without it.

Sorry I wish I was more help...

Problem is with the Opti, NOT the balancer situation.

So you completely put the car back together? As in intake elbow/boot and MAF, etc all back on? Do you have a dead plug?

Always start simple man. I cant even count how many times I have dug deep just to find out it was something simple. Check the connections at each plug wire to opti and plug wire to plug connection, check to make sure all your sensors are pluged..MAF..IAT..etc..As someone said...its gonna be something with the opti or electrical. Not the ballancer.
