Default i dont know what to do

so im in the market for a cam. Looking at the 306 or the 305 cams. Ill have stock heads with maby 2.02 1.60 valves but stock porting. What cam will give me the most power. Its a strip / street car so i dont care about emmisions or streetabilty, just plain power. What should i be looking at. Anyone got real word numbers and 1/4 mile times with cam only lt1's with bolt-ons? My mods are in my sig..

You would have been FAR FAR better off to port the heads and keep the stock valves not even just stock size the actual stock valves.

I would say skip those off the shelf grinds especially since you are not talking emmisions. Basically all the off the shelf stuff is compromised for drivability and emmissions based on the fact people will pick a too large cam.

you really should contact bret bauer about the cam for your set up.
if you have no worries of the dreaded emissions factor, you should be looking at cams with a 110*lobe sep,you may even wish to look at www.eportworks.com his combos really get down.

yea, no emissions on my car at all and gonna be a strip car. I dont got he thousands for a LE3 package or anyting. But i would like to put in a cam. And while im at it, my local machine shop can 3 angle my stock valves and mill it a little for $250 pr. So not bad at all. So ill do the head job and a cam.

Do you guys got any numbers i can call and talk about getting a cam ground?

I've got a 503 for sale.
224/230 .502/.510 with 1.5's 112 PN 07-503-8

11.95 @117 stock heads in a 383. Great street manners and TQ. I always
thought it was a little small for a 383 but would be perfect in a 350.
Used 3k miles 125.00 shipped.

Also, the stock valve job is likey better than a typical 3 angle one.

As mentioned above if your not going to port the heads then I wouldn't change the valves. This is just an impersonation. "You wouldn't hook a Fire hose up to your outside faucet to wash your car would you?" Ok
Most of the current machine shops do 3 angle jobs now and just call it a valve job because that would be the standard.
And in one day it went from a Street/Strip car to a Strip car which is it?
