Default NEED HELP! problem Tunning or Transmission????

Alright
I send my pcm to pcmforless to get a tune after all my bolt on mods. Mostly to get the tune for the long tubes and nitrous.

I have a 4l60e

Now the only problem is when I try go wide open throttle on first gear it doesn't shift and just bounces off the rev limiter at 6500.

I have a stock motor and a rebuilt transmission that has been running great, untill now.

Could it be that the shift points are messed up?

I say look at the simple stuff first. Use whatever tuning software you use to view your shift points and rev limiter. Then as a test lower your shift points and raise your limiter. If it still does the same thing it could be your tranny is done. Do you have a stall converter?

I didnt know the vette stall was anything special. I cant see how you would even notice the diff between a 1900 and whatever.

Instead of posting something like this, contact Brian to have him double check the speedo scalers, rev limiters, and shift points. Posting stuff like this is a waste of time. Any other answers to this are just useless guesses. Without looking at everything thing (which nobody can do from here), nobody knows.

Good luck, Ed

I see you have 3.73 gears. Do you know anybody else with an F body, that has 3.73 gears, that would try your PCM, or let you try theirs? If you have a friend that would swap boxes with you for a few minutes, you could easily determin if it is the PCM or trans. If his still shifts, and yours still won't, it's your car. If the shift problem moves to the other car, it's the PCM. If you have a local car club, ask on thier message board. Someone will probably help.
Where are you located?

Taking a vote here is a waste of time. If you were around here close I would loan you a box to try, to see if that was it.

Good luck, Ed

have him change the shift point lower... and see if it does the same... you may just have a bad solenoid in the tranny not allowing it to shift... what about the 2-3 shift.. what does it do there...

Is there a way you can look at the program? tunner cats.
he did the same to mine, he had set the 1st-2nd shift at 81mph why I don't know.
But I corrected that and it shifts great.

do you see a stored DTC for shift solenoid B? mine was doing the same and had a stored DTC. try putting the shift lever in the "2" postion and see if still does it.
also, are those your current mods in your sig, if so, how are you revving to 6500rpm and not floating the valves?
