Default LT1 Dead..

As the title says, the car is dead. I managed to bolt up and fit a LS1 Lid Airbox and intake setup all the way to the Throttle Body, and was playing with that. I went to the track, and ran a 12.800 at 110MPH with a 2.2 60ft for the first run. I went up for another run, and it ran a 14.4. As I pulled off the Track, it stalled. I re-started it and it stalled again. When it finally got running, it was mis-firing, knocking and screeching, and smelling like oil. After playing with it, the oil pressure started to drop, it wasn't burning it or leaking it, and eventually I shut it off, and towed it home today. I don't know yet what it did, but it is messed up..

As far as the LS1 Airbox goes, I bolted one in, and had to cut a little part out of the hood for it. It sounds like it would look ghetto, but I managed to make it look real nice, and it worked. I was hoping to pull low 12.7's with it, since the 12.78 was the LT1 Elbow Intake setup. It is definately faster.

I am looking into this Engine now, so if anyone has any info on these guys, post it.

As far as I can tell Golens is a good source. I have read a few articles on their 383 and 396 stroker motors. Seem to know their LT1's.

Spend a little extra cash and get yourself a stroker. They are all .30 over, just put some stroke in it.

Sounds like you wiped some bearings.

Yea, we are thinking it's a Connecting Rod Bearing, cause one Cylinder is mis-firing. If it is that, it probably got weak when the Head Gasket Blew, and the Anti-freeze mixed in with the Oil.
