Do a stroker and boost.

355, 383, 396 all have the same .30 bore. Just put some stroke in it.

355 is not a stroker. It's just a .030 overbore using a stock crank.

I have a 385 LT4 stroker (.040 cylinder overbore) and love it. I vote 383.

After two 383 strokers, I voted Procharger for overall power versus savings. The stroker motors were costly when everything added up.

Whats a 355 stroker?

Both... but you can build a 355 for almost the same price as the 383.. so the 383 will have alot more torque... you can do a budget motor for boost and then put the procharger on....oh yea...

383 also...I have 11 years on my shortblock, so it doesn't owe me anything...and on Friday night I trapped 119.5 in bad air and a soft 60'...I'd say if its built right it will be very economical over the long haul...Plus, since you want to street race(which I don't recommend) You can tell everyone that its a 350/355...You can't tell by looking at the motor what the displacement is...Its kinda hard to hide a blower...

not all forged 383 + ported stock heads + cam + bigger injectors and a tune + 75-150 N2o(optional for scary situations ) for street hidden fun (I think cheaper than a procharger set-up) outpowers procharger on stock motor on the N2o

Just an opinion ^_^

dont you guys think that it would cost quite a bit of money to both have a 383 and a blower on this guys daily driven car?

I tell you this Badcamaro a "blower+stock LT1 internals= something breaking down the road".Unless you run low PSI but what would be the point of that? Go 383, you cant go wrong with forged internals. Youll be spending more money either way because as soon as you start making serious power your tranny will start to fall apart also. So whatever you consider purchasing goes hand and hand with a beefier tranny upgrade.

Good call Jon.

355 Setups can make some serious power.

I was reading a while back somewere that a guy with a 355 and 300 shot made around 750rwhp. It was a Big Head Big cam car, but still.

Tony.
