Default doing away with the ABS

I am thinking of doing away with the ABS on the car IT hasnt worked since the 12 bolt was installed so taking it off would shed some wieght and give a little more room under the hood.Has anyone attempted this before. If so what was the side effects other than not having ABS and what did you need to plug it off?

Go for it, it'll open up the area right where it is for a big fat pipe to work with an LS6 mass air meter. That's why I got rid of mine..and plus I have a 9" in the back and the ABS was fuct anywho. Just order a Summit or Wilwood proportioning valve and put it inline with the rear line only. All you have to do for the front is T the line so full pressure goes to the front. I have pictures of my install, email me if you want to see them. Also the ABS chunk and bracket weighs about 12-15 lbs! That's some booolchit! <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />
