Asking for one that does the best is asking for trouble because you will have happy customers from a number of vendors all swearing the shop they choose is best.

That said I went with www.advancedinduction.com and am very happy. I also think where you find standout cars their name will keep coming up.

Popular opinion is that the best for the price is LE and AI.

I agree with 96cap. I'm intrested in hearing some names of guys who arent big on the net but big around the local tracks. Some people assume that if it isnt Lloyd or AI it isnt good but there were guys doing SBC heads long before them I figure.

Thanks guys. I know that fbodymotorsports.com will sell you a set with trade in of course for around 1700 with your choice of comp cam included...the only thing is the intake runner is only 195cc after porting, but they use cnc porting and they CLAIM more power than up to 20 percent larger intake runners...thanks again in advance for any advice...I know a lot about old chevy, but this is my first adventure into LT1...MM

96caprice will always recommend AI.
Bret Bauer will always recommend LE.
I will always recommend PortPros.

Any of these three are very good!

Give them a call and choose the one you like.

That is pretty much where I was going with my first post.

Metal Maniac, don't get hungup on port size, if you do insist on believing bigger is better there though by all means go with a huge set of AFRs or something so we can laugh when it is turd.

Also I would say 11:1 is low, am running 11.5 on the heads/cam with stock shortblock

Well i believe in my application with a turbo that a larger port size will be very benificial...

What is your take?

I have 245cc runner's going on my 396... Do you honestly think 195cc can feed a larger cube motor such as a 383/396 as well as a 220cc etc? it all basically comes down to what are you going to do w/ your car.. and of course your budget.. That usually dictate's more than your goals...
