2001 ws6 rearend in my 97 ta?????
talking to a guy that is thinking about getting a 12 bolt for his '01 ws6 so i told him that i would buy his stock one because his car is a 6 speed so that means 342s and i was wondering if a stock rearend from an '01 fit in my 97 it

it will be alittle different.. if you get the calipers and all it will fit..but not sure if the ebrake cables will work either... but our calipers will not bolt up to the backing plate... im not sure if they are inner changable.. and the ABS could be different if you are trying to retain your ABS system..
i say just have yours rebuilt... with stronger axles and gears.. and a girdle.. how much is he offering it to you for??

thats what i thought.. the rotors are thinner also.. i had one at one point and was going to use..but didnt feel like swapping everything over... for just another 3.23 rear, even though it was brand new from the dealership... but still didnt feel like messing with it...

if you have the ls1 brake setup for the back it will work, i didnt have ls1 brakes when i did the swap to a 02 firehawk rear end on my 96 TA and i had to swap the axles out to keep my lt1 brakes the lt1 axles were slightly longer .... so if you have all the brakes for the ls1 on the back plug in play if you are going to use the lt1 brakes youll have to swap out the axles
