Default 383 Stroker Crank for my maro

This guy wants to sell me a 383 Stroker crank for my 95' LT1, does just the crank add any hp? or what eles would i need for it? thanks

I think you sir need to do a little research before you try and dive into the short block. you will need new connecting rods, and pistons, and likely other stuff since you have it apart that much. then you will need to clearance(grind) the block where the longer stroke's throws(where the rods connect to), hit the bottom of the barrels(cylinder bores). Your looking at about a $1,500(being very cheap, and only do what you really need) to $5,000. I'm gonna have t say, you need to put the effort else where, but it IS up to you.

oh, and that 383 would kinda suck(or, lack of sucking) with stock heads and cam on it. I'd do the heads first. thats where all the power is at.

and so you know, there are 2 types of cranks for sbc's, when you think GEN I, and GEN II(LTx). GEN I, 2 piece rear main seal, and then later, I THINK, 1 piece rear main seal. GEN II, is a 1 piece rear main seal.
