Default LT1 total bearing replacement...

May be pulling the 78K block out to replace cam bearings for cam install.

Is it possible to replace the rod, main bearings in addition to the cam bearings if the block is out and on a stand?

It would make sense to me to just replace them all in one lick. I have no reason to believe I need a rebuild, dont have the money either. A full set of bearings should do the trick for miles to come.

It would require the motor to be out of the car, and its just good thing todo.

The motor is coming completely out. I assume that I can simply install all new OE spec bearings with very small amount of additional problems. I fully expect the crank surfaces to be very good plus the cam is brand new. Sound logical?

I would do it while you are there, take the extra time and the $50 before you have to get a new Motor. My old one spit a Rod bearing out, literally. That's why I have a new Engine.
