Default Can i offset my rear wheels?

I noticed the LS1 camaro's with ZR1's have a large rear wheel base. I would like to do this to my 96 Z but i have 17x9 WS6 rims. Is it possible to achieve this wheel-base by offsetting my rear wheels? Is there a safe way to do this?

The rears axles are the same width on LS1's too. You're probably refering to the fact that the ZR1 wheels fit pretty flush with the quarter, and look awesome. That's due to the wheel dimensions itself.

The only way to get it right is to get a set of wheels with the proper offset/backspacing to achieve it. I wouldn't recommend spacers.

the WS6 wheels should be what you want. IF not like Tuan said get some spacers. They will even out any backspacing that is off.

Im here to help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

The "deep" looking ZR1 rims use a 36mm offset and they are 17x11

The normal knock offs are 50mm so they look flatter......

Just change out your rear rims, but the front need clearance for the brakes so you can only run the 50mm up front!
